An organic matcha from Kagoshima for your Usucha preparation
Matcha Silk Yuki follows a calm, green line: certified organic according to DE-ÖKO-007, from Kagoshima and intended for Usucha. If you want to drink matcha pure, it brings a clear profile to the cup, without milk or recipe context.
Sensory-wise, it presents itself as grassy and soft, with roasted and nutty notes. The green direction gives contour, while the warmer accents make the tea rounder; in the Usucha preparation, this profile comes to the fore directly.
The tea comes from the first spring harvest (Ichibancha) in Kagoshima, an important tea region in southern Japan. The leaves are shaded for 20 to 30 days directly on the plant: Jikase-kaen.
For this blend, Asatsuyu, Asanoka, Yabukita, Kanayamidori, Okuyutaka, and Okumidori are used. The medium steaming level Chumushi strikes a balance between clear structure and more body; it is ground with Ishiusu, the granite stone mill.
