Matcha for businesses that expect more
Quality, natural ingredients, and responsible sourcing matter when matcha becomes part of your menu, product line, or brand. Our wholesale range is designed for cafés, bakeries, ice cream makers, restaurants, specialty retailers, food manufacturers, and other professional buyers.
The matcha used across this range comes from Kagoshima on Kyushu, Japan. The pure matcha grades contain 100% Japanese organic matcha and are certified organic according to DE-ÖKO-007. Matcha Delight XL is a ready-to-use organic latte blend containing Japanese organic matcha and organic coconut blossom sugar.
Different grades vary primarily in color, flavor, intensity, and price. This makes it possible to select the right matcha for lattes, ice cream, desserts, pastry, savory recipes, pure preparation, retail, or your own branded product. Larger project quantities, including bulk quantities of up to 10 kg, may be arranged on request.

PROFESSIONAL USE
Small amounts, visible impact
All pure matcha grades contain the same type of natural tea constituents. The practical differences are primarily color, flavor, mouthfeel, intensity, and price. As a general rule, more economical grades are stronger and darker, while premium grades are finer, milder, and brighter.
Matcha is highly concentrated and economical in use. A matcha latte generally requires only 1–2 g of matcha, compared with roughly 15 g of ground coffee for a typical coffee preparation. The final color of your product depends on both the selected grade and the dosage.
Important: Test every recipe under real production conditions. Fat, acidity, temperature, storage, and other ingredients can change the perceived flavor and color.
Typical starting dosages
Matcha latte
1–2 g
Ice cream
7–10 g per liter
Matcha cheesecake
3–5 g

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
More information for professional buyers
What is matcha?
Matcha is finely ground green tea from Japan. The tea plants are shaded before harvest, the leaves are carefully processed, and the finished tea is milled into a fine green powder. Because the whole tea leaf is consumed, matcha behaves differently from an ordinary tea infusion. More background is available at matcha.de.
What is a matcha latte?
A matcha latte combines matcha with dairy or plant-based milk. It is prepared in a way similar to a latte-style coffee drink, but with matcha as the central ingredient. It works hot or iced and can be adapted to your service concept.
How long does preparation take?
About as long as preparing a cappuccino. Matcha is mixed with hot water and whisked until smooth and foamy. With a clear workflow, preparation is fast and easy to standardize.
What equipment do I need?
For a traditional setup, use a matcha bowl, bamboo whisk, and measuring spoon. For professional service, sieves, scales, thermometers, shakers, and workflow-adapted equipment can make preparation faster and more consistent.
Can employees learn the preparation quickly?
Yes. A simple preparation guide and a defined recipe make matcha easy to integrate into team training. Once dosage, water temperature, and whisking are standardized, employees can produce consistent results quickly.
Who drinks matcha?
Matcha appeals especially to quality-conscious and experience-oriented customers who value flavor, color, origin, and an alternative to coffee. It is particularly visible among younger consumers, but its use now extends across many age groups and food concepts.
Is matcha subject to allergen or caffeine warning labeling?
Pure matcha is not one of the allergens listed in Annex II of the EU Food Information Regulation. Tea-based beverages whose name includes “tea” are also excluded from the specific high-caffeine warning that otherwise applies to certain beverages above 150 mg/l. Your final recipe, product name, ingredients, market, and sales format can create additional labeling obligations. This information is general and is not legal advice.
What else can matcha be used for?
Matcha works in cakes, pastry, ice cream, smoothies, desserts, sauces, dressings, savory dishes, confectionery, mixed drinks, and selected external cosmetic formulations. It adds color, flavor, and a distinctive premium ingredient story.
Do you offer “Ceremonial Matcha”?
“Ceremonial matcha” is a Western marketing label rather than an official Japanese grade. In Japan, matcha is evaluated through intended preparation such as koicha or usucha and through concrete characteristics including origin, color, aroma, flavor, cultivar, harvest, shading, and milling. We recommend choosing by transparent product characteristics rather than relying on a vague word on the package. More information is available at matcha.de/ceremonial-matcha.
