An organic matcha from Kagoshima with soft umami for defined Usucha
Matcha Silk Balance focuses on a calm, balanced profile: green, soft, and with a clear umami side. If you want to drink matcha pure, it brings exactly the kind of directness to the bowl that defines Usucha.
In the cup, it shows itself balanced, without pushing in one direction. Umami gives the profile depth, the soft note takes back hard edges and makes the matcha accessible.
The tea comes from Kagoshima, an important tea region in southern Japan, and from the first spring harvest Ichibancha. For this blend, Asatsuyu, Asanoka, Yabukita, Kanayamidori, Okuyutaka, and Okumidori are used; the cultivars bring together different green lines.
The leaves grow under Jikase-kaen, meaning direct shading on the plant, for 20 to 30 days. The medium steaming level Chumushi holds the middle ground between clear structure and more body; it is ground with Ishiusu, the granite stone mill. With organic certification according to DE-ÖKO-007.
